Calendula (Calendula Officinalis) is a mild yet powerful herb. Astringent, antiseptic, anti~fungal, anti~inflammatory & healing to wounds, it has been applied externally for a wide range of skin problems & inflammations for centuries. It has been used for dressing wounds & sores, soothing insect bites & stings, soothing rashes, mouth ulcers, gum disease & any problem involving dry skin, eczema, scalds or sunburn! It is easy to grow this bright orange beauty from seed and it adapts well to a wide variety of soils & climate. It is so useful for skin care, I add it to all of my lip balms, "Calendula", "Skin Balm", "Wild Rose", "Comfrey Comfort" "Lavender Calm Balm" balms, "Calendula", "Lavender", "Rose", oils, and "Orange Sunshine" soap!
